A recent painting, Patient, has been accepted into the Leicester Museums Open 32 exhibition. It is in oil over an acrylic ground on 90cm x 60cm stretched canvas.

This is the first time I’ve submitted work to the Leicester Open and, obviously, the first time I’ve been accepted. It is also the first painting I’ve submitted or had accepted anywhere. I have to admit that I was somewhat freaked out by being accepted: it is weird that people will be able to see the work in real life (if there’s no new lockdown!) rather than only on Instagram. Hopefully, now that I’ve delivered it to the museum, I can forget about it and get on with making more work.

That’s great Tony! Congratulations!

Thanks, George.
